Submitting an inquiry does not obligate you or your organization to engage Good Signal.
3. Candidate Research and Outreach
Good Signal researches professionals who may be relevant to employment opportunities.
You do not need to have applied for a position, created an account, or contacted Good Signal for us to identify you as a prospective candidate.
We may collect professional information about you from public professional profiles, from licensed recruiting and data enrichment providers that compile such information, and from other lawful sources, and use it to evaluate whether your background may be relevant to a current or future opportunity. You can ask us where we obtained your information at any time.
If a Good Signal recruiter believes your background may be relevant to an opportunity, we may contact you individually using professional contact information that you:
- provided to us;
- made publicly available; or
- we otherwise obtained lawfully.
Our outreach may include information regarding a particular job opportunity and a request to determine whether you are interested in discussing it.
We may maintain professional information about prospective candidates for current and future recruiting searches, subject to applicable law and our retention practices.
If you do not want Good Signal to contact you about recruiting opportunities or maintain your information for recruiting purposes, contact us at hello@goodsignal.com.
We may retain limited information necessary to record and honor a request not to contact you again.
4. How We Use Personal Information
We may use personal information to:
- provide recruiting, sourcing, and talent advisory services;

- create and maintain candidate profiles;
- evaluate whether professional experience may be relevant to an opportunity;
- identify potential career opportunities;
- communicate with candidates and prospective candidates;

- prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents;
- maintain business records;
- comply with legal obligations;
- establish, exercise, or defend legal claims; and
- conduct other legitimate business activities consistent with the context in which the information was collected.
We may also use information for another purpose disclosed to you when the information is collected or with your permission.
5. Artificial Intelligence and Automated Tools
Good Signal may use artificial intelligence, machine learning, automated systems, and other technology to assist our recruiting services.
These technologies may assist with activities such as:
- researching prospective candidates;
- organizing and analyzing professional information;
- identifying skills, experience, and qualifications;
- identifying potential matches between professionals and opportunities;
- summarizing professional information;
- prioritizing recruiting research; and
- supporting administrative and recruiting workflows.
Information generated or inferred through these technologies may be combined with information obtained from other sources.
Automated systems can make mistakes and may produce incomplete or inaccurate results. Their use does not guarantee that an individual is or is not suitable for a particular role.
A Good Signal recruiter reviews each prospective candidate’s professional background before Good Signal makes contact. Outreach messages may be drafted with the assistance of automated tools or from templates, and are tailored to the individual recipient. Employers remain responsible for their own hiring decisions.
6. How We Disclose Personal Information
We may disclose personal information as described below.
Clients and Prospective Employers
As part of our recruiting services, we may disclose candidate information to clients or prospective employers for purposes such as evaluating potential fit for an employment opportunity.
Depending on the circumstances and our recruiting process, we may contact a candidate before formally presenting the candidate for a particular opportunity.
Service Providers
We may disclose personal information to vendors and service providers that perform services on our behalf, including providers of:
- website hosting;
- cloud infrastructure and storage;
- recruiting or candidate-management software;
- customer relationship management systems;
- artificial intelligence and data-processing tools;
- email and communications;
- scheduling;
- data enrichment;
- analytics;
- cybersecurity;
- professional services; and
- other business infrastructure.
These providers may process information on our behalf subject to their agreements with us and applicable law.
Business Transactions
Personal information may be disclosed or transferred in connection with an actual or proposed merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, bankruptcy, or similar business transaction involving Good Signal.
Legal, Security, and Safety Purposes
We may disclose information when we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to:
- comply with applicable law, regulation, subpoena, court order, legal process, or governmental request;
- enforce our agreements;
- investigate fraud, misuse, or security incidents;
- protect the rights, property, or safety of Good Signal, our candidates, clients, users, or others; or
- establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
At Your Direction
We may disclose information when you request, direct, or consent to the disclosure.
7. Sale, Sharing, and Targeted Advertising
Good Signal does not sell candidate résumés, candidate profiles, or professional information for money.
Good Signal does not currently sell, license, or otherwise provide candidate information to data brokers, enrichment providers, or other recruiting firms. We share candidate information only with the employer for a specific search, as described in Section 6. If this changes, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide any notice and choices required by applicable law before applying any new practice to information we already hold.
Certain privacy laws define terms such as “sale,” “sharing,” and “targeted advertising” more broadly and may treat certain disclosures involving advertising or tracking technologies as sales or sharing even when money is not exchanged.
Good Signal does not use advertising, retargeting, or cross-context behavioral advertising technologies on the Site, and does not disclose Site analytics information to advertising networks. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under applicable privacy laws.
Where applicable law gives individuals the right to opt out of a sale, sharing, or targeted advertising, Good Signal will provide any required mechanism.
Good Signal does not knowingly sell or share the personal information of individuals under 16 for cross-context behavioral advertising.
8. Cookies and Similar Technologies
The Site does not use cookies or similar technologies that store or access information on your device for advertising or profiling purposes.
To measure aggregate Site traffic, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-preserving analytics service. It does not set cookies, does not store identifiers on your device, and does not use fingerprinting. It reports aggregate information such as page views, referring sites, and general location at the country level. It does not track visitors across websites or over time, and it does not collect information that identifies you individually.
Because the Site does not place cookies or other identifiers on your device for analytics or advertising, no cookie banner or cookie preference tool is presented. If we later adopt technologies that require consent or an opt-out, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide any required mechanism before doing so.
Where applicable law requires Good Signal to recognize a qualifying browser-based universal opt-out preference signal, we will process that signal as required by applicable law.
9. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to:
- provide recruiting services;
- identify current and future employment opportunities;
- maintain candidate and client relationships;
- maintain business records;
- comply with legal obligations;
- prevent fraud and misuse;
- resolve disputes; and
- establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
Because a professional background may remain relevant to future recruiting opportunities, candidate information may be retained after a particular search or recruiting process has concluded.
Information obtained from third-party providers may be incomplete or out of date. If you tell us that information we hold about you is inaccurate, we will correct or delete it.
Retention periods vary depending on the type of information, why it was collected, whether we have an ongoing relationship with the individual, applicable legal requirements, and legitimate business needs.
When information is no longer reasonably necessary, we may delete or de-identify it consistent with applicable law and our retention practices.
If an individual asks us not to contact them again, we may retain limited information necessary to maintain a do-not-contact or suppression record.
10. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, acquisition, disclosure, alteration, loss, or destruction.
However, no method of transmitting or storing information electronically can be guaranteed to be completely secure. We therefore cannot guarantee the absolute security of personal information.
11. Your Privacy Choices and Rights
Depending on where you live and applicable law, you may have certain rights concerning your personal information.
These rights may include the right to:
- confirm whether we process your personal information;
- access personal information we maintain about you;
- obtain a copy of certain personal information;

- opt out of targeted advertising;
- opt out of certain forms of profiling or automated decision-making;
- limit certain uses or disclosures of sensitive personal information; and
- appeal certain decisions we make concerning a privacy request.
These rights are subject to exceptions and limitations under applicable law.

Please provide enough information for us to understand and respond to your request.
We may need to verify your identity before completing certain requests.
Where permitted by law, an authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf. We may require appropriate proof that the agent has authority to act for you.
