About New School Foods
New School Foods was founded in 2020 with a mission to accelerate the transition to a kinder, more sustainable food system by creating no-compromise meat alternatives. The startup has developed a proprietary platform to create whole-cut seafood and meat alternatives, including their plant-based salmon that cooks, tastes and flakes like wild salmon. New School Foods closed a $12 million seed investment round earlier this year. Investors in the company include Blue Horizon Ventures, Hatch, Good Startup and Lever VC. The company is building a pilot plant and intends to launch its product in 2024.
